Sam, Judy Adams and Marcus Turner have known each other since
the late 1970's. Sam and Marcus became friends in high school
through a mutual interest in cars, and Judy entered the picture
as part of their larger circle of friends.
Through the years, Sam and Marcus worked together off and on in
automotive shops; always remaining friends. Sam and Judy began
dating and eventually married, and Judy became employed as a
high school teacher. In the summer of 1989 Judy went to school
to learn the craft of bending glass (neon). Shortly thereafter,
Judy and Sam opened The Neon Zone, Inc. in their home with Sam
actually going door to door selling and repairing signs. They
soon established a reputation for being dependable, producing
quality work and care and always standing behind their product.
In 1992, The Neon Zone move to their first Woodstock location, then across the street in 1993.
In 1995, as the business grew, they realized that they needed
someone else with intelligence, motivation and a work ethic that
mirrored their own. Enter Marcus. Together, the three have
been keeping The Neon Zone running smoothly for almost 15 years.
Others have been added to the team, of course, most notably,
Mike Johnson in April 1999, first as a neon tube bender and then
as a service foreman; also, Stacy Asby as graphics and project
manager in 2000; and a team of installers that represent the
company in the field who realize the importance of a job done
well.
The company has grown significantly in 20 years, but the
original goal has not changed: to provide quality work, done by
reputable people for a fair price.
Quality, Service, Integrity
